THE BACKGROUND
One of the regions most prominent developers, Nakheel Properties was gearing up for the launch of its biggest project yet. Palm Jebel Ali is the latest addition to Dubai’s coastline and is destined to be twice the size of Palm Jumeirah. To support the launch of the project, we were tasked with developing the content to introduce and showcase the unique properties of Palm Jebel Ali, alongside a magnificent show for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
THE IDEA
To ensure we showcased all that the Palm Jebel Ali has to offer, the launch was spread over three distinct experiences.
The immersive room:
The first experience was in the immersive room, adorned with an impressive 340 degrees screen, which displayed a 60 second high powered video to tease and introduce His Highness to the Palm Jebel Ali.
The discovery room:
Up next was the discovery room, in which His Highness could explore the many facilities and offerings of Palm Jebel Ali. Two pieces of content were showcased in this space, the first displaying an energetic infographic style video which went into detail about all the unique features and amenities of the Palm Jebel Ali.
The second was a sleek and futuristic showcase of the palm, using crisp 3D all white visuals, which served to highlight key statistics about the Palm, and how it supports the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.
Outdoor content and drone show:
Finally, a larger than life, immersive screen was dedicated to the finale portion of the evening. An emotive story took His Highness through the journey of how Dubai has become the world class destination it is today. Beginning with an Ode to His Highness’s vision to build a land on water, we take a journey through the many iconic creations Nakheel has brought to life, before diving into atmospheric visuals which represent the wholistic nature which Palm Jebel Ali offers. The final reveal showcase’s Palm Jebel Ali being shaped by dramatic light rays before ending with the Nakheel logo.
A magnificent drone show accompanies our display, made up of 2,400 drones and highlight four key chapters which illustrate the story of how Palm Jebel Ali will shape the future of tomorrow. A prophetic message ‘The Future is Now’ alongside a globe projection, initiates the show followed by a powerful display of achieving the 2040 vision, the values held dear by Palm Jebel Ali and a final Palm Jebel Ali reveal in the sky. Amplified with a stirring voiceover and screen visuals, the drone show concluded an evening marked in history.
THE RESULT
Over 25 reported news articles and press releases were shared on social media to celebrate the official launch of Palm Jebel Ali, as His Highness green lit the project’s go-ahead, propelling the nation to a new feat achieved by the region of Dubai.
